If you are a student, a faculty, or a staff of Sophia University, you can enter and use Academic information center of Jikei University school of Medicine by presenting your ID card. Please see detail for how to use the library below.

1. Admission to the library

Tell purpose for visiting to the staff at the entrance of the library. Present your student/ faculty/ staff ID card. Using Kokuryo branch library, please inform the staff of Academic information center before you go.

Opening hours

* Reference service is provided from 9:00 to 17:00. If you need reference services, please come and arrive during the service hours.

Library closed

National holidays, Year-end and New Year holidays, and University memorial days(May 1st and October 15th) *As you are an outside user for this University library, you are not able to enter on Sunday according to its rule.

2. How to use the library

Browsing

Both books and periodicals are shelfed open-stack. Please take a look at them freely.

Catalogs

User may check both holding and location information of material either by online catalog (OPAC) or card catalog. Material published in and after 1991 can be searched by OPAC. OPAC terminals are located in various positions in the library. Material published in and before 1990 can be searched by card catalog. Card catalog is shelved near the entrance of the library.

Photocopying

Photo copy machines or agents are available for photocopying materials. Please purchase the prepaid card at the counter in 1st floor to use photo copy machines.

Type of the card

1,000 yen card：90 copies　 3,000 yen card：300 copies

* The library provides special prepaid card for user not frequently use the machine. Please ask to staff at the counter when you purchase the card. To ask agent for photocopy, you should bring material at the counter on 1st floor (30 yen/sheet).
