For Other University faculties, staff members and students

Sophia University Library is not usually open to the public. Interlibrary corporation system enables students and faculty members of other University use our library. You can read materials inside the library, and order book and copied material delivery from your University library.

1. Visiting our Library

You need to meet requirements listed below for browsing library materials;

  • Specify material you need to use
  • Material you need is not possessed in your University library
  • Confirmed whether material you need is in our collection

How to use

  • Please inform the day you visit and material you need in advance by FAX via your University library.
  • Bring your student/ faculty/ staff ID card and letter of introduction issued by your University library and a responce paper. You need a letter of introduction per day for your visit. Please arrive during reference counter service hour (generally weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00) to submit the letter.
  • Please check library opening hours at Library Homepage before you visit.
  • You can copy materials within Copyright law.
  • You cannot circulate materials.

2. Request for photocopy delivery service

You can request for delivering photocopy materials. Those materials are copied only within Copyright law. Please apply to your University library.

3. Request for document delivery service

You can request document delivery service. Please apply to your University library.

  • Eligible person: affiliated to University located in other than Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, and Kanagawa prefectures [Except Keio University (Mita, Hiyoshi, Shonan-Fujisawa media center) and Hitotubashi University library]
