【About terms of service and use conditions】
The contents of terms of service and use conditions, etc. vary depending on the provider, but generally, the following acts are prohibited.
Any serious breach of these requirements will result in the online service(s) being interrupted not only for the individual but for the whole university system. All users are requested to refer to the contents of the User Regulations, Terms and Conditions, and User Agreement, etc., before accessing to such data.

Use for any purpose other than personal academic research and education

Reproduction and redistribution to a third person.

The thing which downloads a great deal of files together (Even manual is bad.)

Downloading material in a way that breaches copyrights, such as downloading entire volumes or issues or revising downloaded materials

Images, films, articles, and all forms of database information are protected by the intellectual property laws of the countries of their respective providers.
You must not alter them or reproduce them onto other mediums without the copyright owner's permission, even if for non-commercial use.
When using the DB information obtained by legally copying it, please limit it to personal use or quotation (specifying the source name) for the purpose of academic research and educational activities.

【Off-Campus Access】
With secured VPN (Virtual Private Network) of Sophia, you can connect your personal computer to the intra-network of Sophia University through the internet and access eBook or Databases offered by Library. The application is unnecessary, available for everyone who has Sophia ICT account.
There is a limit to the number of users who can connect to a VPN at the same time.Therefore, after using e-books, etc., be sure to terminate the VPN connection. If the connection cannot be established, wait for a while and reconnect.
